FAIRFIELD, Conn.? Santa rolled into Fairfield on Friday night and with him came the official start of the holiday season. The town lit its 90-foot tall Christmas tree on Town Hall Green in front of a crowd of hundreds of families.
Choirs from Fairfields middle schools, Fairfield Warde High School and Fairfield Ludlowe High School started off the evening with traditional Christmas carols. Then Joyce and Thomas Flynn did the honors of flipping the switch and turning on the lights. The Parks and Recreation Department chose the Flynns in honor of their decades of volunteer service.
