Andres Rivera, 21, of Saxon Road, was arrested when police allegedly discovered drugs after Rivera was stopped for running a red light on High Ridge Road late Wednesday evening. According to Stamford Police Lt. Tim Shaw, when police approached the driver's side of Rivera's car Rivera appeared to swallow something and behaved nervously. Shortly afterward he began vomiting. Police saw 10 folds of heroin in the regurgitation, Lt. Shaw said. Rivera refused medical treatment, and he was arrested for possession of narcotics and the traffic violation. He was released on a promise to appear in court Aug. 4.
