The Thanksgiving holiday is bringing a change in schedule for town facilities. New Canaan Town Hall will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Building Office, Planning and Zoning Office and Inland Wetlands Office, all located at Irwin Park, will also close at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Town Hall will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
Leaf collection will resume on Friday. The Public Works Transfer Station will close Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. and will be closed on Thursday. The Transfer Station will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Saturday.
New Canaan Public Schools have a half-day Wednesday. Schools are closed Thursday and Friday.
The New Canaan Library will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday. The library reopens for regular hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
