Two vehicles collided around 1:50 p.m. on Friday, April 3, at Lee Chapel Road and Burke Centre Parkway in Burke, with airbags deployed and debris scattered across multiple lanes, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

Three people were evaluated at the scene and transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Fire and rescue crews remained on scene alongside police as they worked to clear the wreckage and manage traffic, which was heavily impacted in the area.

Drivers were urged to expect delays as multiple lanes remained blocked following the crash at the busy intersection, which regularly sees heavy traffic.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
