STAMFORD, Conn. ? Three men were arrested outside the Discovery Café early Monday morning following an altercation involving a baseball bat. Police said a man leaving the cafe was prevented from getting into his car by a man with a bat. Officers said that when Samual Eduardo Us-Juarez was unable to catch the other man, he began hitting the car with the bat, smashing the back windshield and damaging the car's exterior.
The officer sent to the scene said Us-Juarez and two others took off running when police arrived. The officer tackled Saul Eugenio Camey-Culpatan, who police said was carrying a baseball bat, and other officers caught Us-Juarez and Luis David Husjuarez.
Employees of the café told police they had asked the three men to leave earlier. The victim said he did not have a problem with the men and did not know why he was attacked, police said.
Us-Juarez, 25, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, third-degree criminal mischief, creating a public disturbance and resisting arrest. Camey-Culpatan, 24, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, creating a public disturbance and resisting arrest. Husjuarez was charged with creating a public disturbance and resisting arrest.
