Three teams from the Norwalk-based Carver Center won titles in the Best of the Spring Championships last weekend. The teams, who play as TMT (Teaching and Mentoring Through Basketball) won titles in the 11-and-under, 12-and-under and 13-and-under divisions. TMT's 14u and 16u teams lost in the finals.
TMT's eighth grade team also won the Connecticut Super Regionals last month to earn a trip to Orlando, Fla. for the AAU national tournament. TMT is playing this weekend in the MIT Maryland Invitational. The eighth graders are also seeking donations to help support them for a trip to Washington, D.C. on June 25-26 for the DC Metro Showcase.
