Firefighters were called shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, to the 4200 block of Eastern Avenue in Baltimore for reports of the fire, Baltimore Fire officials said.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the building and quickly escalated the response to a third alarm as flames pushed through the structure.
All occupants were able to get out safely, according to fire officials.
Firefighters remained on scene working to bring the blaze under control as thick smoke continued to rise.
Officials set up a media staging area at Eastern Avenue and South Janney Street as the response continued.
No injuries were immediately reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
