Threatening Voice Mail Gets Her Busted

Cassandra Hinton-Devalda, 27, of Relay Place, Stamford, has been charged with leaving a threatening message on another woman's cell phone, according to police reports. Authorities received a complaint from an acquaintance of Hinton-Devalda's. There'd been animosity between the two, and Hinton-Devalda left a message saying she intended to cause the other woman bodily harm because of rumors she allegedly had been spreading about her. Police listened to the message and agreed it crossed the line. Hinton-Devalda was arrested and charged with second-degree harassment. She was given an Oct. 8 court date and released on a promise to appear.
