YONKERS, N.Y. Thomas P. Devine, a longtime resident of Yonkers, died Aug. 29. He was 88.
He was born July 9, 1924, in New York City. Devine served in the military during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Collins Devine; two children, Eileen and Thomas (Patty) Devine; five siblings, Katherine, John, James, Mary and Stephen; and a grandson. He was predeceased by a daughter, Maureen Devine and a sister, Margaret.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at St. Barnabas Church in Bronx, N.Y. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven in Hawthorne. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at F. Ruggiero and Sons Funeral Home in Yonkers
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Stroke Association.
