The Ned Show Visits Katonah Elementary School

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Katonah Elementary School students had a special visitor recently who helped them learn to set goals about what they want to improve upon in their school and home lives and then lock them in their little brains, according to the Lewisboro Ledger.

The special visitor was Kathryn Whisler, know for her funny performances and impressive storytelling about her friend Ned, : which stands for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best, actions that champions always use, the newspaper said.

Students learned that these qualities can easily translate into both their school and home lives when they know how to apply them, Whisler told the Lewisboro Ledger.

“If you decide to love learning, the things you learn will become part of who you are,” Whisler explained to students. “Champions love helping other people.”

Other lessons imparted: Everyone makes mistakes; If you want to be a champion and you want to be really good at something — you have to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes, reported the Lewisboro Ledger.
