The Board of Education must formally read out the naming resolution three times before it's official.

"Rest assured, I think you have all the votes you need," School Board President B. Joseph Lillis said during a recent board meeting.

Smith is being replaced by White Plains Superintendent Christopher Clouet, who starts in July with a salary of $253,000.

An unveiling of the name will take place Monday at 8:30 a.m.
