RIDGEFIELD, Conn. The contract of every Ridgefield school teacher is now available online through a nonprofit education research and reform group.
ConnCAN has released a database of all Connecticut teacher contracts, for what the organization calls unprecedented access to 173 of 174 school districts in the state.
The core information of the contracts will be available, including salary, union affiliation, the number of days teaching, evaluation procedures, sick leave, class size limits, performance pay and personal days.
Part of the database allows the public to compare four contracts with the state averages. For example, on average, teachers in Ridgefield earn approximately $5,000 more than the state average.
