Taco Needs a Home in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Say hello to Taco. Taco is a male Chihuahua, between 2 and 3 years old. He’s currently waiting at the Fairfield Animal Shelter for someone to take him home. “He has many friends looking families, too,” former Selectman Sherri Steeneck said Wednesday.

Taco is this week’s Wednesday’s Pet, dogs and cats who are brought to the Board of Selectmen meeting to draw attention to animals waiting for a home at the Fairfield Animal Shelter. Steeneck started the program in May. Animal Control Officer Bill McDonough says the idea has been a great success. So far, all pets featured have been adopted.

You can take Taco home for just a $5 adoption fee. If you’re interested, you can visit him and the other dogs and cats in need of a home at the Fairfield Animal Shelter, 211 One Rod Highway. You can also see the full list of dogs and cats available at Petfinder.
