Tabetha M. Jones, 21, of Milton, was arrested on Saturday and charged with six counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide sustenance, according to the sheriff's office.
The investigation began after deputies responded to a welfare check at a Lewis Road residence in Milton at 6:28 p.m. on Friday, May 23, authorities said.
Jones is accused of failing to provide sustenance to three cats and three dogs, according to investigators.
The animals were seized by the Milton animal control officer through a court order and taken to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter for evaluation and treatment, the sheriff's office said. The residence was later condemned by the Milton code enforcement officer.
Jones was released on appearance tickets pending proceedings in Milton Town Court.
