Local Syro-Malabar Catholics have been told by the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago that services at 400 Willow Grove Road must move to the Marian Shrine, according to lohud.com.

Worshippers in the group, which has origins in the Indian southwest state of Kerala, said they are upset about leaving the building, which they purchased some time ago for "hundreds of thousands of dollars," according to lohud.com.

Members of the group have voiced their opposition to the relocation by holding protests outside the Marian Shrine, according to lohud.com.
