If you are brave enough to take the "plunge," the fun gets underway at 10 a.m. During the event, the "Seawall" area of Grassy Point, namely River Road, will be closed to vehicular traffic until at least 2 p.m.
This year’s recipients are:
- Gabrielle DiCarlo, who was diagnosed with cancer when she was in kindergarten. After countless surgeries and medical procedures, Gabby was doing well and was in remission for almost two years. This past July, a tumor was found in Gabby’s brain and, as a result, Gabby had to undergo several more procedures.
- Vincent Forzono, 10, has a rare medical condition called Hydrocephalus that he was diagnosed with when he was just 2. This condition causes excess fluid to build up in parts of Vincent’s brain. He has had to endure numerous surgeries as a result of his condition.
The Stony Point Seals are asking for your support to help this child and his family with medical expenses.
Due to weather and lack of parking, it is recommended attendees take the shuttle bus service being offered from:
- Commuter parking across from Lynch’s Restaraunt
- Halligan’s Bar parking lot (by Chase Bank)
- Town Hall Main Street
In addition to the plunge, there will be food, music, 50 / 50 Raffle Tickets on sale at Dee’s Deli, Fireside Restaurant, Halligan’s Bar, Bee’s Nest and Babe’s Bar!
- 1st prize $2,500.00
- 2nd prize $ 1,500.00
