There were no tables to be had at Steve's Bagels Friday at lunch. Steve's is the new kid on the block in Wilton, having opened a little more than a week ago.
"There has been a very positive response," said owner Mark Piazza. For years, Wilton residents would come to Steve's Bagels in Ridgefield and ask them to open a shop in Wilton, Piazza said.
"When this location opened up, we thought we would try it," said Piazza. And customers are happy they did.
"I don't have to go all the way to Ridgefield," said smiling customer Brandy Francis. "Wilton is very lucky to have you."
Steve's Bagels is more than just a bagel shop. The chalkboard menu is filled with options ranging from salads, paninis, breakfast sandwiches and homemade soups to baked goods and Challah bread on Thursdays and Fridays.
"We make everything from scratch," said Piazza.
Steve's Bagels is located on Old Ridgefield Road between Stop & Shop and the library.
