From pre-K through high school, literacy is being emphasized in Stamford public schools this academic year, Supt. of Schools Joshua Starr has said. He wants to let parents know what the school system is doing to adhere to that commitment and help youngsters build necessary reading and writing skills. On Monday, Jan. 31, in the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering Cyber Café, Starr will host a forum during which hell discuss the literacy programs and core curricula for all grade levels.
