STAMFORD, Conn. Will Strong and Rachel Schulte are starring in the Curtain Call Summer Youth Theatre's production of the hit Broadway musical "Les Miserables." The show, running now in Stamford, features young people from Stamford and Fairfield and Westchester counties.
"We had 120 young performers vying for the 56 roles in this year's show, so you can be sure to see some amazingly talented kids" Lou Ursone, executive director of Curtian Call, said in a press release.
Curtain Call has offered the summer theater program for over 20 years now as an alternative to other activities available in the city. The production is led by Stamford resident Brian J. Bianco, director, and George Croom, musical director. Musical staging is by Donna Fox, scenic and lighting design by Peter Barbieri Jr. and costumes by Megan Latte Ormond.
The show runs through Aug. 13 at the Kweskin Theater. Performances are at 7:30 p.m., with matinees Aug. 7 and Aug. 13 starting at 2. There will not be a performance on Aug. 8.
Tickets are $28 for adults, $20 for senior citizens, $14 for students and children. They can be purchased by calling (203) 461-6538 or by visiting Curtain Calls website.
