Stamford residents are still shoveling out from the latest snow barrage to hit the area. Mounds of snow seem to be growing all over the city, and the most basic travel has become treacherous.
In the Belltown section of Stamford, firefighters were kept busy Friday, trying to locate and dig out fire hydrants.
"This is matter of the highest priority for the safety of the residents," said Belltown Fire Chief John Didelot. There are about 125 hydrants in the Belltown area, and all must be cleared as soon as possible for emergency access.
Is the hydrant in your neighborhood still under snow? Did you or a crew of firefighters dig it out?
