The Stamford Sharks Bantam ice hockey team won the Tier 3 Supplemental Tournament with a 4-3 victory over Watertown in the championship game.
The team went 3-1-1 in the tournament earlier this month. After tying Watertown, 5-5, in its first game, Stamford beat The Whalers, 2-1. After a 7-5 loss to Avon, the Sharks earned a berth in the final with a 6-4 win over Wallingford. That set up a rematch with Watertown, with the Sharks earning a narrow decision for the title.
Team members include Jamie Rich, Brendan Sweeney, Tucker McGarrity, Danny Rotkiewicz, Tommy Molgano, Griffin Northrop, Matt Carlson, Max Puk, Frankie Compo, Andrew Kydes, Jeffrey Kurzman, Thomas Puffer, Brian Kollar and Matt Abt. Brendan Baranowski is the team's coach, assisted by Ken Smith.
