Stamford Schedules Leaf Pickup

STAMFORD, Conn. - City crews will begin picking up leaves in Stamford on Nov. 21. The Department of Operations divided the city into three areas:

• Area 1: Leaf pick pickup will begin north of the Merritt Parkway on Nov. 21.

• Area 2: Leaf pick pickup will begin north of I-95 and south of the Merritt Parkway on Nov. 29.

• Area 3: Leaf pick pickup will begin south of I-95-will on Dec. 19.

Leaves must be left on the curb. Crews will not return if the leaves are not out when leaf pickup starts in the neighborhood.

Crews will only pick up leaves left loose or in paper leaf bags. Brush, grass clippings or bulky waste will not be picked up. The city may fine residents who leave those materials at the curb.

If you have any questions about the leaf pickup, call the Citizen’s Service Center at 203-977-4140. Bad weather may delay pickups.
