Stamford Neighbors Notes

STAMFORD, Conn. -- An energetic crew of 4- and 5-year- old guests was recently entertained at a party celebrating Jacob Manka's 4th birthday. The youngsters, all motor sport enthusiasts, positioned themselves outside Rushmore Circle to “oooh” and “ahhh” the surprise arrival of Thrasher, the Monster truck, and its companion, the Gravedigger motorcycle. After Tony Macari of Stamford set up Thrasher, neighbors marveled at the immense vehicle, while the young partygoers had an opportunity to get “up close and personal” with the monster truck and motorcycle. Driver Pat Summa of Danbury started Thrasher Motorsports in 1978, one of the top monster truck teams in the country.

One Stamford family had a very special and unusual commencement last week. Patty and Steve Czelada recently watched as their quadruplets, Jake, Katelyn, Zack and Nicole, graduated from high school. The four attended the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering.

Proud Stamford mom Keiah Yarborough Minott shared the news that her son Brandon Jerome Yarborough graduated on Friday, June 3, from St. Luke’s School in New Canaan.  He will attend Eastern Connecticut State University in the fall.  Brandon plans to major in sociology and psychology and play on the basketball team. He’s also looking forward to trying out for the school’s chorus.

Best wishes to popular Stamford couple Dawn DeVarti Bria and her husband, Dom Bria, on their recent 20th wedding anniversary. Susan Bach Morris celebrated her 55th birthday with a relaxing weekend at Wentworth by the Sea in New Hampshire. Turning 18 this week is Ressi Miranda. Congratulations to all!
