MOUNT KISCO, NY-- St. Mark's Episcopal Church will be holding its annual ritual Blessing of the Animals service as part of the Feast of St. Francis on Saturday.
We're going to have songs and food for the animals during the event and we invite anyone to bring their pets, said Jeanne Goldberg, St. Mark's Parish secretary. After the priest blesses the pets, we'll have refreshments.
After the Prayer for the Blessing of the Animals, vistors can tell Mother Eileen the name of their pet and the pet will then be blessed.
