Southeast's Fireworks Celebration Includes Music, Dancing

SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- Live music and dancing marked Southeast's annual fireworks celebration on a cool Fourth of July evening, with the finale fireworks display coming after sunset.

The town's celebration was held at The Highlands Shopping Center, which is off of Route 312 and includes stores such as DeCicco's - which was a co-sponsor and was serving refreshments - and Kohl's.

Additional sponsors included Tompkins Mahopac Bank, Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union and Carmel Winwater Works.

The celebration's music included covers of several songs, along with a hula hoop contest for kids.

The fireworks display started when Brewster High School's choir was near the end of a rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner.”
