Somers School Budget Passes Overwhelmingly

SOMERS, N.Y. -- Somers voters overwhelmingly approved the proposed 2015-16 school budget and a referendum regarding use of a capital reserve fund, results show.

The budget was approved by 1,029 votes to 371, while the capital reserve proposition passed by 935 votes to 286.

Incumbents Sarena Meyer and Michael D’Anna were re-elected to full 3-year terms, while newcomer Chadwick Olsen was elected to fill out the remaining two years of an unexpired term, which was caused by the departure of Harvey Kriedberg.
