SOMERS, N.Y. For many months, members of the Somers community have been sponsoring fundraisers and soliciting donations to rebuild the playground at the Primrose School.
The challenge has been met, $90,000 has been raised and the new equipment has been ordered. Now for the next step: Volunteers are needed to get everything in place. No experience is necessary. Professional crew leaders will be on hand to guide you. Breakfast, lunch and beverages will be provided. Tools also will be provided. You will even get a complimentary T-shirt.
All you have to do is sign up. The date is June 9. The morning shift is from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The afternoon shift is from 1-7 p.m.
