The Westport Softball Association will celebrate the grand re-opening of the Town Hall Fields Saturday beginning at noon. Some ceremonial first pitches will be tossed at the newly renovated fields, and a round-robin for Double A teams will be layed. The games will be two-inning scrimmages.
There have been substantial improvements at the fields, including backstops and fencing that have been replaced or repaired and new padding. There are new bleachers and the quality of the fields has improved. For more information on Saturday's events, visit the Westport softball website.
