Sinkhole Develops On Busy Monsey Road

Drivers in Rockland County are being warned about delays after a large sinkhole and water main break developed along a busy roadway on Monday, May 18.

The incident happened on Main Street in front of the entrance to the Rockland Kosher Supermarket at 27 Orchard St., The Monsey Scoop reported. 

Ramapo Police responded to the scene and were awaiting the arrival of the water company as of Monday afternoon, the outlet reported. 

Motorists were urged to use caution in the area and expect traffic delays while crews assess and repair the damage.
