PEEKSKILL, N.Y. ? The Peekskill Community Garden will hold plot sign-ups Saturday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Forest View Garden on Route 6
Those looking to grab a plot need to attend and sign a membership agreement. The cost for an individual plot is $30. Checks can be written to PCG/HRHC, but cash is also accepted.
There is also a "People's Plot" that will be grown together by members of the community, according to garden club leader Joann Boniello. A donation of $20 is requested.
"There are six plots left, but plenty of room in the People's Plot, so please pass this along to anyone who is interested," Boniello said.
Anyone who would like to stay and help finish building raised beds and filling them with soil should bring the appropriate tools. Members will also be happy to answer questions from residents thinking of getting involved in the garden, but questions can also be directed to members via email at: [email protected]
