A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Jennie Corridor Saturday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church, 914 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Corridor died Sunday at age 91, surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 20, 1918, the daughter of the late Domenico "Dominick" Bacco and Maria Lucia "Lucy" Bacco Palladino. A lifelong Stamford resident, Corridor worked at Caldor's Department Store until retiring as a sales associate.
Playing poker and pinochle and delving into word-search puzzles were among her favorite pastimes as was going to the casino activity.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph "Red" Corridor. She is survived by her daughters June Corridor, Carol Corridor and Jane (Todd) Dowty; grandchildren Laci Corridor, Brandon Dowty and Brett Dowty; sisters Rose Hill and Toni D'Agostino; brother Angelo Palladino; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sisters Sue Sestito, Ann Hushion, Ann Ginter and Mary Galasso; and brothers Joseph Bacco, Daniel Bacco, Nicholas Palladino and William Palladino. Corridor's caregiver, Katy Fronckiewicz, and the caregivers of Smith House Health Center, are especially recognized by the family.
