The crash happened around 10:18 p.m. in the vicinity of Saddle River Road, Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer said.
The car was overturned and the driver suffered serious injuries, authorities said. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:55 p.m., according to investigators. No other occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, officials said. The victim’s identity is being withheld until next of kin are notified.
The investigation is being handled by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Task Force under Chief Matthew Finck, and the Fair Lawn Police Department under Chief Joseph Dawicki.
Fair Lawn and Paramus police officers, the Bergen County Sheriff's Office, the Fair Lawn Fire Department, and the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad all responded.
