Darien defeated New Canaan, 6-0, in the season opener for Senior Babe Ruth league play. The teams are from Greenwich (4), Stamford (4), New Canaan and Darien, and the players range in age from 16 to 18. The teams will play a 14-game season that runs through July 2.
