Wilton second-grader Brendan Sullivan joined 53 others at O'Neill's Irish Pub on Saturday to support the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Like all the participants, Brendan walked out of O'Neill's but his hair stayed behind.
The hair-shaving event raised more than $20,000 to support research that treats and combats childhood cancer. The pub's owner, Ollie O'Neill, lost his sister to cancer when he was 8 and she was 9. Four years ago, he started holding events at his Norwalk restaurant to support the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
