William “Bill” Hooper was located in good health just before noon, in Camden County near Lindenwold Friday, May 29, Deputy Chief Paul Haggerty tells Daily Voice.
Hooper had last been seen Thursday, May 21, at the NJ Transit train station in Secaucus, police previously said.
His disappearance drew concern across Bergen County and beyond, as his parents circulated a missing person’s poster with the message: “We just want to know that you are safe.”
Hooper has more than 23,000 followers on TikTok, where his bio reads, “get out of your own head.” He had regularly posted motivational messages, health tips, and humorous moments from daily life, though his account had been quiet since March.
“On behalf of Mayor & Public Safety Commissioner Robert B. Giangeruso and Chief Michael Carrino, the Lyndhurst Police Department and the Hooper Family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the public’s assistance over the last week.”
Police also thanked the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, MTA Police, Amtrak Police, NYPD, Port Authority NY/NJ Police Department, Laurel Springs police, New Jersey Transit police, Camden County police, and Lindenwold police for assisting in the investigation.
