FAIRFIELD, Conn. Say hello to Scruffy. Hes about 8 months old, and one of the many pets awaiting adoption at the Fairfield Animal Shelter.
Hes really friendly, and right now very gentle, said former selectman Sherri Steeneck, who presented him before the Fairfield Board of Selectmen Wednesday. Hes housebroken, friendly, and a little scared of kids. But other than that, hes a perfect pet.
If youre interested in taking Scruffy home, you can visit him at the Fairfield Animal Shelter, 211 One Rod Highway, or call 203-254-4857. He will cost $50 to adopt, which includes a voucher to have him neutered. His friends at the shelter who already are spayed or neutered cost $5 to take home.
