Lisa Perkins, school psychologist at Bedford Middle School, has been chosen as the 2009-2010 Connecticut School Psychologist of the Year by the Connecticut Association of School Psychologists (CASP). Perkins has been a psychologist for the Westport Public Schools since 1994, starting at Coleytown Middle School before moving to Long Lots School, earning her doctorate along the way. This has been her first year as school psychologist at Bedford Middle School. CASP exists to support high quality, ethical practices among school psychology professionals across the state of Connecticut. Their selection of Perkins recognizes her commitment to and achievement in maintaining the highest of professional standards in school psychology.
