The Career & Technical Education Information Session will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the McGuire Technical Education Center, 47 Main St. in Newton, according to Sussex County Community College.
The event is open to recent high school graduates, adult learners, career changers, and anyone interested in building practical, workforce-ready skills.
Visitors will be able to tour SCCC’s technical education facility, meet faculty and industry partners, ask questions about career opportunities, and learn how to begin classes this fall.
Programs highlighted at the session include advanced manufacturing, automotive service technology, baking and pastry arts, building construction technology, culinary arts, diesel technology, electrical lineworker, exercise science, optics technology, and welding.
SCCC said admissions and Student Support Services staff will also be available to help attendees with the free application, class registration, financial aid options, and student support resources.
The college’s technical programs emphasize hands-on instruction, industry-recognized skills, and real-world experience in professional lab settings.
