RYE, N.Y. - Rye's Catherine Parker was in a Democratic primary for county legislature that was too close to call Wednesday morning.
Thomas Murphy of Mamaroneck and Parker ran on the Democratic ticket for the county legislature's District 7 seat, which also represents parts of Harrison. Parker also ran on the Independence ballot, with the option to write-in a candidate. With 80 percent of the votes in at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Parker 973 votes - 53 percent - and Murphy had 851 votes - 47 percent.
For registered voters of the Green Party, there was also a write-in ballot available to vote for a District 7 candidate.
