Rye Man Thinks Casey Anthony got Away With Murder

RYE, N.Y. -- Gary Mack didn't believe for one second that Casey Anthony was innocent, even though the Florida woman was acquitted by a jury for the murder of her daughter Caylee."I think she is a pathological liar and a sociopath, but an extremely clever one," said Mack, an art teacher. "Those people can be very convincing."

Anthony was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison for lying to police, but with time served and good behavior she will be released Wednesday.

As an art teacher, Mack works with many children and said it has given him a lot of perspective on parenting, though he does not have children of his own."Parenting is a hard job, especially today," he said. "I think (Anthony) couldn't handle it. I can see how someone like her, who is young and self-centered, could rationalize murdering her own daughter."Mack said he had no strong personal feelings about the verdict but felt that it exposes the flaws in the justice system."It's not that (the jury) didn't think she was guilty, it's that there wasn't enough evidence," said Mack. "That needs to change."
