RYE, N.Y. -- Collins Coyne has a simple rule for his two daughters when they get home from school.
"Have a snack, do your homework, then go out and play," said Coyne.
Katie and Megyn both go to Osborn School. Katie is in third grade and Megyn in first.
Coyne said they usually spend half an hour to an hour doing homework.
"I had a lot more homework as a kid," he said. "But I think they have a good amount, not too much, not too little."
