Born in Poughkeepsie, he was a lifelong area resident.
Hack worked for Velux Corporation for over 15 years, until his illness forced him to retire in 2012. He was a member of the Hopewell Reformed Church. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, skiing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Traynor-Hack; daughter Jessica Hack; brother Gregory Hack and his wife Lynne; mother-in-law Shirley Traynor of Florida; aunt Elizabeth Hennesey of Hyde Park; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Hack was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Doris Beverly Hack.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10-11 a.m. at the Hopewell Reformed Church, 143 Beekman Rd., in Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. The McHoul Funeral Home, in Hopewell Junction, is assisting with arrangements.
