HILLBURN, N.J. -- Robert E. Eckerson, of Hillburn, died on Dec. 8. He was 84.
Born Oct. 17, 1932 to Floyd and Whilemina Eckerson, he was a Navy Veteran ad was retired after 40 years with Orange and Rockland. He was a life member of the Tallman Fire Department, and the American Legion.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Bernice. He is survived by three children, Robert and his wife Wendy, Richard and his wife Christine and Donna; 14 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and three brothers, George, Richard, and Paul.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Airmont Cemetery in Airmont. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to the Scarr Funeral Home Inc Route 202 Suffern.
