The Ridgefield Board of Education hired the firm of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates to conduct the search. In January, Ridgefield School Superintendent Deborah Low announced at a Board of Education meeting that she would retire at the end of the 2013-14 school year. She has been serving as the superintendent since 2007.
HYA is seeking community input throughout the superintendent search process. The firm will gather the input through community meetings, online surveys and collaboration with a variety of groups connected with Ridgefield Public Schools. The online survey opened to the public on Monday, Feb. 24.
"We wish to thank Deborah Low for her incredible service and wish her well while we also look forward with excitement to finding and welcoming the next leader of our schools," the Board of Education said in a statement.
