NEW CANAAN, Conn. The New Canaan Senior 7 Red teams season ended Tuesday night with a hard-hitting 22-7 loss in Ridgefield to a good Ridgefield Senior 7 Orange Team.
New Canaan Red are the defending league co-champions, sharing the 2010 title with their brother team, New Canaan Black. They fought like champions to the end but came up short.
The entire team was thankful to Coach Jones, Coach Dunnam, Coach Bauersfeld and Coach Taylor for the time and effort they put in this season. Like true champions, Red plans to be back next year bigger, stronger and hungrier to bring home another title.
