RIDGEFIELD, Conn. The Ridgefield Conservation Commission is looking for a new member to fill an upcoming vacancy.
Residents who might be interested in joining the commission should have an interest in the environment and be available for bi-monthly meetings and occasional site walks. Among the requirements for the commission member would be to perform trail maintenance, organizing volunteers and working with schools to develop programs.
Any candidate should have a background in environment and land use, as well as people skills. With the 50th anniversary of the commission approaching, a candidate should have experience with public relations and web development, although those are not required skills.
