The Ricky Joy Company recalled about 2.3 million Sour Crush Rolling Liquid Candy bottles, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, Sept. 10.
The recalled candy comes in 1.85-fluid-ounce plastic bottles and is applied through a rollerball top. The rolling ball on the bottles can detach, posing a risk of serious injury or death from choking.
The candy was sold in blue raspberry, strawberry, green apple, and watermelon flavors. No injuries or incidents have been reported, according to the CPSC.
The bottles were sold individually for about $3. They were also available in packs of three or 12 for between $13 and $32.
Forman Mills, a discount retailer with dozens of Northeast locations, was among the sellers of the recalled candy. It was also available at H-E-B, candy stores nationwide, and through websites like Walmart.com, CandyFunHouse.com, and RickyJoy.com from January 2023 through May 2026.
Customers should immediately stop using the recalled candy bottles and take them away from children. Owners can contact Ricky Joy for a refund, and the company will provide a prepaid shipping label to return the candy.
You can learn more about the recall on Ricky Joy's website or by calling 404-975-0352.
