Stamford Police are awaiting an official report from the coroner about the cause of death of a man whose body was found in the Holly Pond area last Tuesday. "We don't see anything suspicious at this point," said police Lt. Jim Matheny. "It looks like it was a person with Alzheimer's who, for whatever reason, slipped and died of natural causes. We're still waiting on the coroner before we can say anything definitive." Coincidentally, the force just acquired a bloodhound that will trained for search and rescue work, helping locate missing children and other persons, such as those with Alzheimer's disease, who just wander off.
