Rehak, Peekskill Carpenter, Dies at 73

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Lifelong Peekskill resident William F. Rehak Sr. died Nov. 11. He was 73.

Rehak was born on July 5, 1938, the son of Richard and Helen Snyder Rehak. He graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School and served in the US Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959.

A union carpenter, he was a member of the Westchester Carpenter's Union and a life member of the Peekskill Elks Lodge No. 744.

Rehak is survived by his sons William F. (Carol) Rehak, Jr. of Pleasant Valley, N.Y. and James R. Rehak of Peekskill, his daughter Alison (Joseph) Delio of Mahopac, N.Y., his brother Richard Rehak of Peekskill, four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home in Peekskill. The funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Peekskill.
