NEW CASTLE, N.Y. - Proposed legislative maps released on Thursday show several changes to the political landscape of New Castle.
The proposed districts show Sen. Greg Ball (R - Patterson) representing New Castle in the new Senate District 40. Ball would replace the retiring Suzi Oppenheimer as New Castle's representative in the Senate.
Robert Castelli (R, C - Goldens Bridge) would remain New Castle's representative in the Assembly, according to the proposed changes. However, Assembly District 89, which he currently serves, would be renumbered Assembly District 93. The new district would add the town of North Salem, along with some adjustments to the districts boundaries in White Plains.
